This chromium-molybdenum alloy is renowned for its excellent weldability, ease of fabrication, and mild hardenability, making it a popular choice for aircraft parts and components. Even in its annealed state, it offers sufficient strength for various applications, and it can be heat-treated to achieve high strength levels.
