The 2-speed scroll saw DS 460 from Proxxon. Projection: 460 mm. Extremely light saw arms made of magnesium reduce the weight of the moving mass by approx. 40%! For maximum smoothness and quiet cut. SOLID CONSTRUCTION: Vibration dampening machine cast base cleanly CNC machined and powder coated. For a secure stand for working without vibration. Precision mounted magnesium saw arms: extremely light, firm and slim in the cutting area for a clear view of the workpiece. Chip blower with adjustable nozzle. Additional suction nozzle for connecting a vacuum cleaner. Large die-cast aluminium saw table (400 x 250 mm). Can be unlocked and moved backwards to facilitate blade changes. Normal fine-cut saw blades are attached by sliding stones with high clamping force: for extremely accurate alignment. The machine is also pre-equipped for saw blades with cross pin, which are used without sliding stones. Extremely important for scroll saws of this design: a handy rotary knob allows sensitive clamping of the saw blades. Table angle adjustment from -5 to 50° possible. Cutting capacity in wood 60 mm, in non-ferrous metal (yes according to type) 10 - 15 mm. Easy separation of plexiglass, GRP, foam, rubber, leather or cork. Includes 5 blades each coarse and fine.
