We created this design in 2019 after receiving many requests from pilots whos' headsets started to crumble and crack from being exposed to UV light sitting on the dashboards of their aircraft. The plastic Bose used to make the yokes was not a very good material to begin with and subsequest exposure to the sun did not help. There were some other resin-based replacements available, all seemed to just be scans of the original, flawed design. So we created a completely new design that was far stronger and we produce the parts with a plastic that is specifically designed to withstand extreme UV radiation and heat. Since we began selling, several overseas sellers copied our design and began selling at various marketplaces despite our design being copyrighted. But they are all making them with the lower-quality plastic that simply does not stand up to the typical conditions found in aricraft. Then, remove the old parts and install the new yokes. There are new screws included, and you re-use the metal bracket and screws that mount the earcup to the yoke. Since Bose made several different designs with the headset, you cannot re-use the wire retaining staple or plate, but there is a channel that holds the wire and a screw for the end to keep it in place - use that instead of trying to make the old wire retainer fit.
