RiteAV's CAT 6/ Cat5e Extension Kit includes a 300 Meter Outdoor Rated Fiber Cable, along with two Fiber to Ethernet Media Converters and SFP Transceivers. The quick and easy to install kit is ready for deployment with your existing Ethernet Cables to extend your copper-based network beyond the 100 meter limit with the use of fiber. This kit enables you to use your current Ethernet-based hardware, so your investment in costly equipment is protected while your present infrastructure is also preserved. The fiber cable is impervious to interference, so data transmission is optimal. The indoor/outdoor jacket is suited for direct bury since it's weatherproofed, UV Resistant and durable. The media converters expand the fiber distance to 0.342 miles and provide a stable, steady access to the data and lessen the chance of losing any connection. It includes an external power supply and the LED indicators on the unit allow you to monitor the activity of your network efficiently. The two 1000BASE-SX Fiber Transceivers are included, so there's no additional cost involved when connecting the fiber cable to the media converter. The LC Mini GBICs are suitable for use with Multimode Fiber (50/125 and 62.5/125), 850nm frequency and up to 550M range.
