This SKF 3209 A-2RS1/C3 double-row ball bearing is double sealed, has a steel cage, and has C3 internal clearance. It has a 45mm ID, a 85mm OD, and a 1-3/16" width. This double-row ball bearing has deep groove geometry for supporting both radial and axial loads The C3 radial internal clearance designation indicates that the radial slack between the inner and outer rings is greater than the standard CN (normal) clearance to allow for thermal expansion. This bearing conforms to the Annular Bearing Engineering Committee (ABEC) 1 precision standard for performance within a narrow range of variation. Rubber seals on both sides of the bearing keep the lubricant applied at manufacture in and contaminants such as dirt and grime out. This bearing has a Light bearing design for light loads in limited spaces or for average loads in unrestricted spaces. The steel cage balances the load distribution by spacing the balls evenly and also prevents the balls from coming into contact with one another during use, reducing friction, vibration, and noise. This double-row deep groove ball bearing is suitable for use in applications such as transmissions, motors, and pumps.Rolling bearings use rolling elements to maintain the separation between moving parts to reduce rotational friction and support radial and axial loads. These elements can be one of the following types: ball, cylindrical, spherical, barrel, needle, spindle, or tapered. All rolling bearings are open, shielded, or sealed. Sealed bearings are lubricated with oil or grease in the bearing factory, while open and shielded bearings are meant to be lubricated in place, with periodic reapplication of lubrication, based on use. The shield protects the working parts of the bearing from environmental debris that may be introduced and could reduce the ball bearing speed and lifespan. Rolling bearings are used in a range of applications from agricultural machinery to conveying equipment, robotics, dental equipment, elevators, rolling mills, ship rudder shafts, and aggregate crushers, among others.SKF manufactures bearings, seals, and lubrication systems for automotive, energy, and other industrial applications. The company, founded in 1907 and headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden, meets International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards 9001 and 14001 and ISO/TS 16949.
